My name is Joelle Middleton, and I believe that one day breast cancer will never steal another year from anyone's life. The Crush Cancer 5K is not only my opportunity to join my community to fight back against breast cancer, but it is also a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease. My reason for running The Crush Cancer 5K is for my mother Joann Middleton, and also for Myself. l carry the BRCA 2 gene and have to remain proactive in taking care of my health for myself and for my mother, who unfortunately passed away from Breast Cancer in 2002 at the age of 45.
